The CVBM group focuses on numerical and experimental modelling
of the cardiovascular system, with the aim to improve and develop diagnostic methods and therapeutic protocols in the cardiovascular domain. Special attention is given to the complex constitutive behaviour of biological tissues, including their ability to adapt to changing environment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The MEFD group focuses on the development, analysis and application of mathematical-physical models and advanced numerical techniques for multiscale problems in engineering applications, with expertise in the fields of multiphysics problems, coupled problems and interface problems. The research in the group has an underpinning and methodological character, while maintaining a strong connection to applications in the high-tech industry and related scientific disciplines.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Catharina Hospital is a leading teaching hospital for cardiology, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. State-of-the-art equipment and interventional technologies are present in this large training center. It has a long and successful history of developing and implementing innovative medical technologies. The Philips Research Multiphysics group is a computational modeling group focusing on the application of biophysical modeling for improved diagnosis and therapy in healthcare. Philips believes that the Digital Twin and Digital Patient concepts are essential to integrate patient data, physiological knowledge and clinical expertise to provide patients and health care with better tools for diagnosis and therapy, improving lives while reducing health care costs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The goal of the Eindhoven MedTech Innovation Center (e\/MTIC) is to create and expand an ecosystem that strongly increases the speed of high-tech health innovation, maximizing value for patients. We consider such an ecosystem to be an unmet need and a unique opportunity for the Brainport region to make significant contributions to visionary new developments in healthcare. e\/MTIC is a large-scale research collaboration between the Catharina Hospital (CH), the Maxima Medical Center (MMC), Kempenhaeghe Epilepsy and Sleep Center (KH), Eindhoven University of Technology (TU\/e) and Royal Philips Eindhoven (RPE) in the domains cardiovascular medicine, perinatal medicine and sleep medicine.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
